Corbett Landscape Government Forest Rest House / Lodge / Eco-Tourism Zone Night Stay Accommodation

Corbett Landscape Eco-Tourism Zone is a dense forested region that forms an important part of the Corbett Tiger Reserve. This area is a popular spot for nature walks and holds deep mythological significance in the Hindu epic Ramayana. According to legend, Goddess Sita, wife of Lord Rama, spent a part of her exile in this very landscape. Today, the site is protected and maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Beyond its cultural value, Corbett Landscape is a thriving natural habitat for tigers, elephants, deer, sambars, barking deer, porcupines and king cobras, along with a rich variety of bird species. It is considered a paradise for bird watchers, and visitors can also relax at a peaceful ashram located within the zone.

The entire forest area of the Corbett Landscape remains open throughout the year for safari tours, making it one of the most accessible zones in the region. Unlike other parts of Corbett Tiger Reserve, there is no fixed limit on the number of vehicles entering this zone. Entry permits for Jeep safaris are issued by the Forest Department, as Corbett National Park authority does not handle permits for this area. The Landscape zone is also known for its revered Shiva temple and its shallow forest brooks, which create a refreshing retreat for visitors. Tourists often enjoy fishing and angling along these streams while soaking in the natural beauty of the surroundings. Since this zone allows easy walking access, exploring the forest on foot adds an unforgettable adventure to the experience. A visit to the Corbett Landscape offers a perfect blend of natural charm, spirituality and wildlife encounters.

Corbett Landscape is one of prominent zones which are always full with tourists. Most of the tourists entering Corbett Landscape Jeep Safari zone are avid bird watchers. They have fair inkling to watch birds and the best part is that there are plenty of birds to watch around all through the season. Tourists can also take the glimpse of vultures, which have almost disappeared in the cities and towns.
